Starting at 15
Michael left school at just 15 years old to immerse himself in the family craft, learning the nuances of hallmarks, diamond grading, and metal purity directly from his parents and grandparents.
Independent at 21 in Wayfarers Arcade
Demonstrating a passion for the sector, he opened his first independent shop at the age of 21 in Southport's historic Wayfarers Arcade — situated directly opposite his parents' established jewellers, P. Karmey & Sons.
